A fabulous pair of bronze patinated spelter candlesticks in the form of Medievil characters on stilts each with long pointed hats similar to those worn by jesters. Both with cooking pots on their back, the cooking pots bronze lined. One character is carrying a set of bellows and a drinking vessel or bowl, the other character is carrying a Salami and a leg of ham or lamb.
Height 9 and a half inches on a circular base just over 4 and a half inches in diameter. Probably late 19th century.
